At Kpra S.L. we are aware that feeding is another key factor for livestock farming profitability. For this reason, all portions are carefully formulated by our own nutritional expert, according to the different production stages of our goats. Both ingredients and traceability are carefully supervised and controlled. The process of feed preparation and distribution is also controlled on a daily basis
Our feeding principle is “To achieve the highest outcome from the genetic potential of our goats, while ensuring their well-being and health, caring for the environment and complying with all applicable laws. This is what enables us to achieve high-quality production with guaranteed agrifood safety”.
Doeling growth
From weaning to mating we use the combination of cereals and compound feed, plus high quality forages freely available. We use 4 types of feed with the nutritional profile corresponding to each phase of growth. Thus, at each stage of growth, the goats receive the food corresponding to their needs for proper growth.
Adult animals
Here we use the Unifeed type diet; In this way, we formulate different nutritional efficiency profiles for our animals and we supply batches of animals grouped by productive status in different quantities. For animals in milk production and at the end of gestation we offer food at least 4 times a day, while for dried animals and stallions only once a day in sufficient quantity to maintain their needs.
Our unifeed ration includes…
FIBER
Always high-quality, mainly alfalfa.
GRAINS
Barley, corn and oats.
OILSEEDS
Soy, sunflower, whole cotton seeds, peas/beans.
FIBER CONCENTRATES
Beet pulp, malted barely and wheat bran.
